Berlim Histórica – Tour Privado

During my historical city tour in Berlin Mitte, I focus on the origins of the city. Why were the first Berliners Cöllner? How did the swamp area, once called Berlo = Berlin by the Slavs, become a metropolis with almost four million inhabitants? The story of the Berlin Bear, the Berlin City Palace or the historic Nikolaiviertel, which was originally called Nikolaikirchviertel, is interesting. But the GDR government, which was not very church-friendly, had the church deleted, so that only the Nikolaiviertel remained by name.

Despite the severe war damage, especially in the center of Berlin, the history of historic Berlin can be illustrated again through parts that have been preserved and well reconstructed. During the historical city tour in Berlin Mitte, I will tell you (the) exciting story(s) of the city along historical buildings, such as the Nikolaikirche, the site of the former city palace and the Palace of the Republic, where today the Humboldt Forum with its impressive museums and the historic castle facade, past the old GDR State Council building, from where former Chancellor Schröder ruled until he moved into the new Chancellery in 2001.
