Dresden 1719 – Virtual reality time travel to baroque Dresden
At TIMERIDE Dresden, visitors can take part in the wedding of the century of Prince August II and Maria Josepha – just as if they had been there themselves.
The virtual journey through time takes guests back to the baroque Florence on the Elbe in the year 1719.
The historically significant location in the Taschenbergpalais opens the door to a world long gone, in which the visitors are guests of honour at the legendary festivities of the Dresden prince’s wedding.
On their tour they are immersed in the life of the time in three exciting stations.
The highlight is finally the virtual carriage ride to the wedding of the century. While the guests take a seat in a replica of one of the magnificent carriages, they enjoy a 360° view through VR glasses, they enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the metropolis on the Elbe at its most glamorous time.
A visit to the exhibition takes around 45 minutes and is suitable for time travellers aged 6 to 99 years.
