Fräulein Kerstin – Tour in bici della città di Dresda
Dust-dry annual figures don’t interest you in the slightest? Great, that makes two of us. :-)) Are you more interested in exciting stories, entertaining, touching, surprising… Then you’ve come to the right place: City tour Dresden with Miss Kerstin With humour & knowledge through Dresden’s culture, history, tradition and life. Whether it’s the old town, trendy neighbourhoods, vineyards or Saxon Switzerland – trade in some fun ballast knowledge on tours, round trips, hikes and bike tours in Dresden and the surrounding area.
City tour by bike 1
(Dresden Altstadt + Elbwiesen und Elbschlösser)
Cycling is fast. And you can get everywhere where pedestrians shuffle along. That’s why the first part of the tour covers the route of the classic city tour in detail and without any problems. This route is extended to include the enchanting Great Garden, the VW Transparent Factory and the legendary German Hygiene Museum.
Then it’s a quick trip to the Elbe. The beauty of the spacious Elbe meadows, which have been spared from development, can only be appreciated by those who have set foot on them. Or rather: travelled it. And that is exactly what I intend to do with you. Experience the Elbe meadows nature reserve with its three picturesque Elbe castles.
Find out who alienated the city’s sommeliers around 1870, how Odol King August Lingner made his millions and where Augustus the Strong’s Swabian goldsmith threw his money down the drain.
Programme points:
Zwinger, Picture Gallery, Semper Opera House, Cathedral, Residential Palace, Taschenberg Palace, Fürstenzug, Frauenkirche, Altmarkt, Stallhof, Town Hall, Hygiene Museum, Grosser Garten, Gläserne Manufaktur, Elbe cycle path, Elbe meadows, Elbe castles, vineyards, villa district, end in the old town.
Duration: 3 hours
City tour by bike 2
(Dresden Altstadt + Barockviertel + Kneipenviertel)
In the first part of the tour, we follow the route of the classic city tour. The route is extended to include the enchanting Great Garden with its extensive green spaces, the VW Transparent Factory and the legendary German Hygiene Museum.
From there, taking in the legendary Canaletto view, we ride into Dresden’s oldest neighbourhood, the baroque district of Innere Neustadt.
Lovely passages, cosy courtyards, the old market hall and, above all, the Golden Horseman make this trip worthwhile. How much gold was used for the legendary equestrian statue of Augustus the Strong? And how much wine did the Saxon womaniser bottle every day? Let us surprise you. The same goes for the subsequent detour to Dresden’s colourful pub and trendy district, where you will get the most important insider tips on eating, drinking, music, dancing and shopping. It’s not for nothing that the cow flies at the entrance to the Kunsthofpassage…
Programme points:
Zwinger, Picture Gallery, Semper Opera House, Cathedral, Residential Palace, Taschenberg Palace, Fürstenzug, Frauenkirche, Altmarkt, Stallhof, Town Hall, Hygiene Museum, Grosser Garten, Gläserne Manufaktur, Ministries, Japanese Palace, Goldener Reiter, Baroque Königstraße, Albertplatz, Scheune Cultural Centre, Kunsthofpassage, end in the pub district

Whichever route you choose, the fact is that we will cross a few beer gardens along the way. And yes, this doesn’t always happen without longing glances at cool hop blossom cold drinks and crispy steamed pancakes. The good news is that even stops for refreshments or other programme items can be combined. Just let’s talk about it.
