The world is a guest at the Übersee-Museum and the museum is allowed to be a host! The diversity of our earth is presented here on more than 10,000 square metres. The visit leads from Asia with its pulsating metropolises to the savannahs of Africa to the America of the 21st century. The exhibition "Experience what moves the world" deals with current topics such as climate change or migration. Many museum treasures from the collection are waiting to be explored in the foam magazine "Übermaxx". In the show "Spurensuche" (Searching for Traces), the museum critically examines its colonial past. Until winter 2024/2025, a new permanent Oceania exhibition will also be created together with people from the Pacific region. In the winter half-years, large special exhibitions deepen the themes of the Übersee-Museum.
