Teatro del Altstadt

The Theater der Altstadt, with its eventful history from 1958 to the present, is the oldest private theater in Baden-Württemberg. Since 1993, not only our venue at Feuersee, but also a deep affinity with Stuttgart West and its residents connects us, following Brennerstraße and Charlottenplatz. The love for our audience – without which the theater would not be possible – is the focal point of our work. The Theater der Altstadt is meant to be a meeting place; a place characterized by openness and continuity – where people feel at home. The proximity and constant exchange with our audience enable us to create a diverse program that has something for everyone.

We stand for artistically high-quality and serious theater that can also entertain because theater is an experience, from whose beauty, wit, thoughtfulness, richness of tears, and unbridled joy you should be able to draw long-lasting satisfaction.
